Nothing Distracted Her… For Nothing Attracted Her…

Radha pined, yearned and longed for Her Krishna…her soul sought only Him…she knew nothing else… for nothing distracted her as nothing else attracted her…she remained complete, replete only in thoughts of Krishna… Krishna wanted to know, to experience bhakti for Himself and so manifested as Radha. And so it was that Her every heartbeat had Krishna’s name in it…every heartbeat echoed His glory…every heartbeat was soaked in His essence…every heartbeat knew only love for Krishna…every heartbeat longed for Krishna, was immersed in absolute awareness of Krishna at all times, every beat of her heart reveled in Krishna Consciousness, each beat, along with every breath knew nothing else but Krishna…every cell of her being resounded with the melody of Krishna’s flute, in every atom around her she could visualize only Krishna…for there is nothing but Krishna…enhancing the play between Purusha and Prakriti…Creator and Creation. For Radha and the Gopis, Krishna represented the Supreme Purusha, the Ultimate Personality of Godhead…the rest being Prakriti…that was the understanding they were blessed with…superseding the knowledge of the great scholars…

So when Krishna left for Mathura can one imagine how bereft were Radha and the Gopis…? Similar is the intensity of feeling of some with regard to Beloved Mother Sai…the Krishna of Dwapar is Mother Sai of Kali…the same Prakriti…the same Purusha…
They questioned every blade of grass, pouring their heart into each enquiry; the bee as it passed by heard their plea, their cry; the leaves of the tulsi plants received their anguished sigh; they asked the birds to bring news of their Beloved One and deliver their yearning unto Krishna; straining their ears they tried hear the mesmerizing melody of His flute in the breeze; they bathed themselves in the dust of His footprints; tenderly they tried to find out if the holy Yamuna had any news, even as gentle waves tried to soothe their feet, that had walked miles in search of Krishna…
Sri Radha is Krishna’s Hladini Shakti – His enrapturing blissfull energy. According to the Brahmavaivarta Purana, Krishna Khanda, the Lord declares to Radha – that She is present in the form of Mahalaxmi and Saraswati; as well as Rukhmini at Dwarka; Bharati – the devoted wife of Kapila, and She was Sita – the beloved consort of Rama.
Sri Krishna and Radha are eternally inseparable. Radha is the adhar – the support of Krishna. The Lord says of Her – “What You are that I am. There is not the least difference between You and Me. Just as the colour white in milk, the burning capacity in fire and the odour in the Earth…I remain in You.”
Thus should be our intent on Mother Sai too…no distraction for no other attraction… loving and serving the Beloved Mother, the soul’s sole satisfaction…
