May all the adversities and miseries leave us forever, so that we can sing for the Lord of Sacrifices, i.e.Visnu, during the holy fire ceremonies. We pray to the Supreme Divine Lord for the welfare all beings. May the medicinal herbs grow in their potency. May human beings (bipeds) be happy. May all other beings (quadrupeds) be happy. May there be peace, (physical, mental and spiritual) in the hearts of all the beings in all the realms.
Beloved Bhagwan, Your name is enough for us. We don’t know about rituals, or rites, nor about sacrifices, or ceremonies, all we know is Thy name and that is enough for us. It is Thy name that makes the sun shine, the moon beams dance, the rivers flow on to meet the sea, it is Thy name that makes the birds fly and sing, oh so sweetly; and the breeze rustle gently through swaying leaves; it is Thy name alone that lights up our day and brings solace, joy and peace.
It is indeed all the miracle of Thy name, Thy love, Thy benevolence, Thy grace.
Thy essence shines through – Thy name.
And Thy name is enough for us…
In Your own words Loving Lord, “My name is not distinct from My form. The name recalls the form as soon as it is pronounced or heard. So, when the name is ever dancing on your tongue, the form too, has to be before you and beside you. I have to manifest the form, whenever My name is remembered with faith or sung with devotion.”
With complete faith, firm belief and absolute trust in Thy name we pray for the manifestation of Thy glorious form and for the welfare of all beings – Samastha Jeeva Sukhino Bhavantu…Samastha Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu.
A man’s true wealth hereafter is the good he does in this world to his fellow man. – Prophet Muhammad
Along with praying for the welfare of all beings, striving for the welfare of all is what the existence of our planet depends on. Our words, our ways, our habits, our actions, have an impact not only on our families, society and nation but globally too. Physical wounds can be treated, emotional wounds go deep and the scars are carried through lifetimes, inhibiting our growth.
What about the wounds inflicted on the environment and the utter disregard for our natural resources?
Do we realise ultimately, if we do not mend our ways, it is we who have to pay a heavy price?
We are very eager to compare our surroundings, our ways, our cities with those abroad saying – it’s so clean, so green, the roads are so good, the trains and buses run so well, etc. So how have things developed so well on the other side of the fence?
Perhaps because the citizens care and have taken a part in the development.
Perhaps they take great pride in the growth and follow rules instead of paying their way out of it.
If we stop spitting, throw garbage where it’s supposed to be thrown, have a sense of hygiene and keep things clean for the next person, while using a toilet during road, train or air travel, stop felling trees, be conscious of our surroundings and do our best for it, things surely would be different.
Each individual needs to herald in a change.
Correcting oneself is correcting the whole world. The Sun is simply bright. It does not correct anyone. Because it shines, the whole world is full of light. Transforming yourself is a means of giving light to the whole world. – Ramana Maharishi
Care for Life, Concern for Nature and Respect and Reverence for all of Creation. For all of Creation is but His reflection.
We must remember that our efforts to love, care for and serve all beings is akin to singing His glory and remembering Him with Faith and Devotion…and then as per His own words…the words spoke by Truth Incarnate…His name is not distinct from His form, and wherever His name is remembered with such intensity…He will manifest Himself.
“So, when the name is ever dancing on your tongue, the form too, has to be before you and beside you.I have to manifest the form, whenever My name is remembered with faith or sung with devotion.” – Baba
Individual transformation through thorough introspection and concerted selfless efforts to reach out with unconditional love is the key.
And this key that opens all locks is with each one of us.
