The article that appears below is a cry for a peaceful co-existence…a collective effort by certain NGOs based in the city of Pune, India, to bring about harmony in a rage filled society…through awareness.
A kind of illogical rage, a sentiment of hate…an intolerance that is heinously irrational, inconceivable and disconnected to all things human and humane, dominates the environment as of now.
It certainly is time to pause, reflect, introspect and pray intensely for kindred feelings to surface before mankind faces a gloomy destiny as a result of karmic repercussions. Only the benevolent grace of the Source of Compassion – Beloved Bhagawan and His much required Presence can make sense…and bring about an en masse awakening…heralding the much awaited dawn of an enlightened way of living.
Humanity is in a grip of disarray. Gross disrespect of Nature…gruesome acts, senseless, inconsiderate, irresponsible and outrageous… on innocent, unsuspecting and trusting humans, animals…feathered beings, aquatic creatures…plants and trees…show that the human race has indeed reached a nadir…reflecting a relentless drought of love, kindness, empathy, care and concern.
Dear Readers…Fellow Travellers…Mellow Souls…this page is a transit point as we journey through life. Each individual attitude for change can make a global difference. Every drop counts. If the suffering of our fellow beings does not touch our heart…we are obstructing its most natural tendency – to flow with love and embrace all in its amicable hues…we consistently hinder…impede its innate affinity and in doing so we further recede from the rhythm, goal and purpose of our birth.

|Recently we’ve been hearing of too many cases of animal abuse. Last month a 13 year old boy from Karvenagar abetted by his parents, gathered a litter of 4 day old pups in a plastic bag (eight of them) and dumped them into the river and yesterday a stray dog in Pimple Saudagar, known to be harmless and gentle, was found dead, his body brutally slashed with multiple stab wounds and his intestines pulled out. A dog was found outside Shaniwarwada some weeks back, who was beaten so badly that one of his eyeballs was missing and half his skull exposed. These are just some of the gruesome incidents that have come to light – there are hundreds of stray dogs who are kicked around and beaten every single day and sometimes even put to death by poisoning or drowning. What does this speak of us as a society that our children commit such horrific acts on new born creature? Has our world shrunk so small that we feel outraged when we see our neighbors showing compassion to strays by feeding them? What has happened to our tolerance that we cannot share our space with fellow beings that do us no harm and in fact can give us so much if shown the smallest iota of affection? Does the rare case of aggression merit the extermination of the entire species? Can we not instead work together to find a rational, long term solution where strays can co-exist with human society to the mutual benefit of both?P-FAPO, Blue Cross and PALs are organizing a protest cum awareness march.
– To protest against animal abuse in our neighbourhood and to make it clear that an FIR will be filed and each case will be followed up to its logical conclusion.
There should be zero tolerance towards cruelty – whether practiced on humans or on animals. – To create awareness about the Animal Birth Control Program – which is the only scientific solution towards achieving a reduced, stable, healthy and vaccinated population of street dogs. Please join in large numbers to lend a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves – our street animals. Please share and spread the word.
Thanks. Protest cum Awareness March –
